History

Socicana, Association of Cane Suppliers of Guariba, was founded on February 15, 1951. Its first president was Antonio José Rodrigues Filho, an idealist and achiever, who believed in associations as a form of collective organization focused on citizenship and action. democratic.

The founders knew that, only through strengthened representation of the sector, would it be possible to implement advances that would lead to economic and social development.

At the first official meeting of Socicana, the work was “coordinated by sugarcane grower Dr. Antônio José Rodrigues Filho, in order to found and constitute a civil society, whose objectives are the defense of the sugarcane class in the Guariba region. The session was opened by Dr. Antonio José Rodrigues Filho, Sílvio Borsari, dr. Cássio Marcondes César, Bento CB Amaral, Américo Guzzo, dr.
