History

Socicana, Association of Cane Suppliers of Guariba, was founded on February 15, 1951. Its first president was Antonio José Rodrigues Filho, an idealist and achiever, who believed in associations as a form of collective organization focused on citizenship and action. democratic.

At the first official meeting of Socicana, the work was “coordinated by sugarcane grower Dr. Antônio José Rodrigues Filho, in order to found and constitute a civil society, whose objectives are the defense of the sugarcane class in the Guariba region.
