
Bonsucro certification is an offshoot of the Bonsucro certification Better Sugarcane Initiative, a preliminary group made up of industry stakeholders concerned about the environmental and social impacts of sugarcane production. For certification, the main production indicators are evaluated, including energy and water consumption, as well as greenhouse gas emissions. Regulatory compliance, labor rights and other human factors that affect the impact of production on the local population are also measured.

RenovaBio is an instrument that aims to establish annual national decarbonization targets for the fuel sector and, in this way, encourage the production and participation of biofuels in Brazil's transportation energy matrix.

The Top Cana program is a continuous improvement process focused on the sustainability of production. During their participation in this process, members identify the strengths and weaknesses of their properties and develop an improvement plan, which is developed by the Association.
Technical assistance is provided for socio-environmental issues and a portfolio free services. In the field, monitoring occurs through periodic visits by Top Cana technicians to producers and their production areas.
